Accelerate your integration into Quebec society with free part-time French courses.  Intended for immigrants in Laval, Perspective Carrière offers this training in partnership with the Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration (MIFI).

Free training and financial assistance

Immigrant individuals who take a part-time French course may be eligible to financial assistance, i.e. $ 15 per training day of at least 3-hour per week. Possibility of receiving a child care allowance of $ 9 per training day, per child or dependent.

  • 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Eleven (11) weeks

Eligibility conditions

  • Be born outside of Canada
  • Be 16 years old or older
  • Live in Quebec



  • Given the current COVID-19 context, French courses are currently offered remotely. Here are the main requirements:
  • Have a computer or tablet equipped with a camera and microphone capable of supporting a videoconferencing or collaborative work application (e.g. Microsoft Teams);
  • Unlimited high-speed Internet access or Wi-Fi;
  • Have a personal email address (used by one student only);
  • Have the technological skills necessary to attend distance learning activities, i.e. access technological platforms and participate in videoconferences ;
  • Have a French keyboard as well as headphones;
  • Participate in individual or group pedagogical activities according to the teaching schedule;
  • Have access to a quiet and isolated workspace that is conducive to learning.
